BTMouse ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BTMouse mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.

1. Overview

BTMouse is a 100% serverless application. It works directly over Bluetooth between your phone and PC. No data is ever transmitted to external servers, and no internet connection is required.

2. Information Collection and Use

BTMouse does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All app functionality operates entirely on your device:

• Bluetooth Connection: Your phone connects directly to your PC via Bluetooth HID. No intermediary servers are involved.
• Keystrokes & Input: All keyboard and mouse input is sent directly from your phone to your PC via Bluetooth. We do not log, store, or transmit this data.
• PC Password (Lock/Unlock Feature): If you choose to use the PC unlock feature, your password is stored locally on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption backed by Android Keystore. This password never leaves your device and is only transmitted to your PC via direct Bluetooth HID input (typing), not over any network.
• Clipboard Data: Clipboard sync operates between your phone and PC on your local network. No data is sent to external servers.

3. Bluetooth Communication

BTMouse uses Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) protocol to communicate with your PC. This is a direct device-to-device connection. No data passes through any server, cloud service, or third-party system.

4. Permissions

BTMouse requests the following permissions:

• Bluetooth: Required to connect to and communicate with your PC.
• Foreground Service: Required to maintain a stable Bluetooth connection while the app is in use.
• Biometric: Used optionally for fingerprint authentication before unlocking your PC. Biometric data is processed by Android's BiometricPrompt and never accessed by the app.

5. Third-Party Services

BTMouse does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking software. There are no ads in this app.

6. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device:

• PC passwords are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with Android Keystore-backed encryption.
• Connection history is stored locally in encrypted preferences.
• App settings are stored in local SharedPreferences.

No data is stored on any server or cloud service.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. Your data stays on your device and is only transmitted to your PC via direct Bluetooth connection.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
